rule5bot processes only public Reddit content, and only on subreddits where a moderator has installed it.

What the app processes

• Public post and comment data (post ids, titles, authors' public usernames, post bodies, and top-level comments) on the installed subreddit, to decide whether a post complies with the subreddit's screenshot-explanation rule.
• Modmail messages sent to the installed subreddit whose subject matches the moderators' configured re-approval keywords, to process re-approval requests.

What the app stores

• Short-lived enforcement state in Reddit-hosted storage (Devvit Redis), scoped to each installation: ids of tracked posts, ids of the app's own comments, removed-post markers, and aggregate action counters for the optional weekly digest. Entries expire automatically (at most 90 days) or are deleted when a post is resolved.
• The app stores no data outside Reddit's infrastructure.

What the app shares

Nothing, by default. If — and only if — the subreddit's moderators configure a Discord or Slack webhook, the app sends those channels notification messages about its own moderation actions. These contain only information that is already public on Reddit: the post title, the author's public username, the subreddit name, and a link to the post.

What the app does not do

• No tracking, analytics, advertising, or profiling.
• No processing of private user data, browsing history, or votes.
• No data sales or sharing with any party other than the moderator-configured webhooks described above.
