rule5bot is a Reddit Devvit app that helps subreddit moderators enforce a screenshot-explanation rule. By installing the app on a subreddit, the installing moderator agrees to these terms on behalf of that subreddit's moderation team.

What the app does

• Watches new posts on subreddits where it is installed and, per the moderators' configuration, warns authors, removes or reports posts, re-approves posts, and posts comments — all within the subreddit it is installed on.
• Optionally sends notification messages about its own moderation actions (post titles, author usernames, and links to public Reddit posts) to a Discord and/or Slack webhook URL that the subreddit's moderators configure themselves.

Moderator responsibilities

• Moderators configure all behavior, including message templates and webhook destinations, and are responsible for the destinations they configure.
• Webhook URLs grant the ability to post into the configured channel. Treat them as secrets shared among the subreddit's moderators.
